GESCHICHTE
Das Gestüt wurde 1998 von Ernesto Tiago Tomé - Eigentümer und Förderer - nach erfolgreichem Abschluss
seiner Ausbildung zum Pferdewirt an einer landwirtschaftlichen Berufsschule gegründet.
Das Gestüt begann seine Tätigkeit ausschliesslich mit reinrassigen Lusitanostuten und -hengsten
von den besten Zuchtbetrieben Portugals, die sich seit langem intensiv mit der Zucht von qualitativ
hochwertigen Lusitanos beschäftigen.
Hervorzuheben ist besonders einer der Zuchthengste,
DAMASCO II (Gestüt Manuel Tavares Veiga. Siehe Foto), der 1998 von der APSL (Port.Vereinigung der Lusitano-Züchter)
zum besten Lusitano für den Stierkampf gekürt wurde.
Das Gestüt gehört zur Quinta do Tagus und befindet sich am Monte de Caparica, am
südlichen Ufer des Tejo in 7km Entfernung von Lissabon und 3km von Almada.
