Here, the cavaliers can find suitable horses for the Equestrian Bullfighting. And since nowadays the save "cavaliers" have no time to do so themselves, we dedicate ourselves to the training and schooling of these horses on a long term bases. That is our main purpose, to prepare the horse, according to the horseman's need, establishing a symbiosis between both horse and rider, and combining movements of "dressage", of intricate maneuvers and displays of agility, that will allow them to succeed in the "arena". The horses are mainly pure bred Lusitano and occasionally cross-bred-Lusitano but its selection process is essentially based on its ability for the bullfight. They go through a criterious selection at birth, and later on are submitted to a precise training in order to guarantee their performance in the "arena". Cross-bred "Importante", mounted by Mr. Rui Salvador, one of the most well-known Cavaliers of our times, is one of the many symbols of quality and special training that "Quinta do Figueiral" already provided.
