
Jorge Pereira started riding at the age of 11 with Master Luís Valença,
his interest in all areas of equestrian discipline and culture
led him to work with Maestro David Ribeiro Telles and to take his Professional
exams as a riding bullfighter.
Jorge was one of the founding riders of the
newly formed Portuguese School of Equestrian Art under Dr. Guilherme Borba,
and he worked with
riders such as D. José de Athayde and João Trigueiros de
Aragão.
He subsequently spent three years in France at the Academie Equestre
de Guyenne in the company of Carlos Pinto, Nuno Palma and Daniel Pinto.
Jorge was a director of the Casal da Fonte Santa in Belas,
the Quinta da Horta in Alcochete, and the Centro Hípico in Coruche.
He now owns his own Dressage and schooling yard, in Biscainho, 15km from
Coruche, 60km from Lisbon.
