History HISTORY The stud was founded in 1998 after Ernesto Tiago Tomé, the owner and promoter, graduated from the Equine Management Course at the School of Agriculture. The stud began its activities with a core of high quality brood mares and stallions, all exclusively LUSITANO THOROUGHBREDS from the best Portuguese studs long renowned as breeders of LUSITANOS of outstanding characteristics. Our stallion DAMASCO II (from the M. VEIGA stud. see photo) was classified by the APSL as the best Lusitano bullfighting horse, one of the exceptional horses of the team belonging to the bullfighter Rui Fernandes. The stud is located in Quinta do Tagus - Monte da Caparica - on the south bank of the Tagus, 7 km from the centre of Lisbon and 3 km from Almada. Here, we have spared no efforts to provide congenial surroundings and facilities for our horses, ensuring that they enjoy a pure, healthy and hygienic environment.
